Spending time at home during the Corona crisis is not a problem for a Moosburger: Manuel Förster is currently working on a complex model building project.
Moosburg - Manuel Förster from Moosburg has a very special hobby: the 24-year-old is a passionate model maker. An airport festival has inspired him for his current project - he is currently building the event. While hobbies are neglected for many due to the Corona crisis, the Moosburger uses the time to work on his large-scale project in miniature format.

It all started with a simple wooden board. In a 1:87 scale, Förster gradually places the individual models on the 2.5 by 80 centimeter plate. There are currently 25 aircraft, around 30 vehicles and over 500 figures on the small airfield. You can also admire four buildings and small groups of trees. Everything exactly as the model enthusiast saw it on the real airfield.
However, the aircraft models are not that easy to get: "I had to order a lot from abroad," says Förster, "but it is fun, you are always happy when you can get hold of a rare building model or a special aircraft, for example." However, Förster does not order all models online. The talented model maker makes many objects himself. These unique pieces require a great deal of sensitivity and a tremendously steady hand.
Every little detail is important to Manuel Förster
That is also the reason why it will still take time until the airfield is ready. Förster assumes that the entire airport festival will not be completed before the end of 2020 at the earliest. This is also due to the fact that every little detail is important to the Moosburger in his time-consuming hobby. Different people, special cars and street signs must not be neglected in addition to the impressive buildings and airplanes. Förster receives support from other model makers who share his love of detail.
Unique items like this hang glider are also included.

Especially in social networks, people exchange ideas very actively about how to fine-tune their projects or where maybe a special collector's item can be found. Manuel Förster does not want to keep the end result of the many hours to himself: "When the Corona crisis is over, I definitely want to exhibit my airfield party," he says. Other projects are already being planned.
