The President of the Palestinian National Events in the Occupied Territories in 1948, Sheikh Salman Anter, condemned the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and its allies on Syria, stressing that it is a crime against humanity and should be lifted and the perpetrators punished.

"Those who punish and besiege a people in a pandemic situation such as Corona fall into the category of international crime against humanity and the mass killing of a peaceful and peaceful people," Antir said in a statement made to a SANA correspondent in Amman, calling for lifting these measures and the aggressive blockade that contradicts all international and humanitarian concepts and laws.

For his part, Majali Nasrawin, the former president of the Executive Committee of a group of Jordanian media and intellectuals for Syria, condemned the "Isnad" resistance in a similar statement, the siege imposed on Syria by the United States and its followers, stressing that its continuation reflects a fascist and evil mentality far from civilized behavior and human feelings.

Nasrawin said that while countries are failing to unify their efforts and coordinate their activities to confront the imminent danger of the Corona virus, the United States of America and its dependents are still imposing a hateful siege on Syria, calling on honorable people in the world and patriots and progressives in the Arab world to raise the loud voice to lift the siege on Syria and its people.

In turn, Dr. Hisham Al-Ghassib, the former head of the Philosophical Society in Jordan, affirmed that the siege imposed on Syria is an aggression no less outrageous than the direct war, calling for standing beside Syria, the beating heart of Arabism, noting its steadfastness in confronting the forces of hegemony, terrorism and siege.

For his part, the President of the Arab Forum in Jordan, Fayez Al-Shakhatra, called on international organizations and all the free people of the world to put pressure on the United States of America to lift the siege on Syria in order to protect its people from the danger of the spread of the Corona virus, explaining that Washington practiced the utmost forms of arrogance and aggression and imposed coercive economic measures that are not based on any Legal or moral basis.
