Siegsdorf - A case of non-compliance with the corona restrictions on Friday (April 17) at Siegsdorf in the Traunstein district caused surprise for police officers. A patrol of the Traunstein traffic police checked a car with French registration. A 37-year-old Frenchman, his 38-year-old partner and their toddler were in the vehicle.

The family had stated that they were on a Europe-wide city tour, which is why they had been refused entry to Austria at Bad Reichenhall.
At the time of the inspection, the family had already covered over 1,400 kilometers by car. It is not known when they had crossed the German border and under what excuses they had managed to do so.

But not only that, given the precarious Corona situation in Europe, the family was calmly planning a city trip: when checking the wanted inventory, it also turned out that the couple had apparently simply left three other minor children in France.

The children had therefore already turned to the French police, who arranged for the parents' stay to be determined. Because the vacation trip is not a valid reason to leave the apartment, a fine procedure was initiated against both people, which was processed by depositing a security deposit on the spot.
We can only hope that the couple returned to France immediately and by the shortest route. The Bavarian police currently have no further information on the current whereabouts of the family.
