Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte warned the European Union against repeating mistakes made during the 2008 financial crisis.
Russia today quoted Conte as saying to the Italian Senate today that the European Union and the eurozone cannot repeat the mistakes that were made during the 2008 financial crisis, indicating that this is a danger that we cannot allow to happen because failure to find an appropriate and courageous response would cause Huge damage to the European project.
Conte stressed the importance of decisions to overcome the current crisis, which must be taken during the next summit of the European Union, saying that "this summit will not be decisive, but it must define the criteria to overcome the crisis caused by the Corona virus in Europe."
