An 80-year-old couple from Tokwawan was rammed by goods van across the road

At 12:00 noon today (2nd), a traffic accident occurred at the junction of Shangxiang Road and Pao Street in To Kwa Wan. When a light truck turned right to Shangxiang Road, it hit a elderly couple who was crossing the road. Both of them were injured. Husband Wang, 83, was seriously injured in the head, while Chang, 85, was injured in the head and hands. There were bloodstains on the road surface. The old man fell into a coma when he was sent to the hospital. After being bandaged, he was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by bed, and the two were in critical condition. The 52-year-old yellow male truck driver who was involved in the accident was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to others.
