The government's official website lists 14 common registration problems

1. Who is eligible to request the copper core anti-epidemic mask + ™?

All persons holding a valid Hong Kong identity card are eligible to request free copper core anti-epidemic mask + ™, one per person (except infants and young children).

2. How to register for the copper core anti-epidemic mask + ™?

Get a copper-core anti-epidemic mask for free + ™ ️ Simply register online and wait for delivery

Online registration: Eligible Hong Kong residents register online from May 6 to June 6, and each registration includes a maximum of 6 people (including 1 primary registrant who is over 18 years old and 5 additional registrants) .

Door-to-door delivery: The masks of successfully registered persons will generally be delivered directly to the Hong Kong address reported by the main registrant within 2 weeks (Note: PO boxes are not accepted).

Students in elementary schools and kindergartens will receive masks for the size of middle and young children through the school they are attending. No registration is required online (Note: the system does not accept registration of persons born on or after January 1, 2009).

3. Can I register for others?

can. The government encourages citizens over the age of 18 to register for eligible family members, relatives and domestic helpers, with a maximum of 6 people per registration (including the main registrant). After checking the information, the Government will deliver the same registration mask to the Hong Kong address reported by the main registrant in one go. Please remember to obtain the consent of others before you can use their personal data to register.

Please keep your personal data carefully, and do not give your personal data to strangers for registration.

4. Is the registration first-come, first-served?

Eligible citizens have one month to register online, from May 6 to June 6. The government has reserved a sufficient number of masks. As long as the citizens complete the registration within the registration period, after checking the information, they can get a mask of adult size for free, one for each person.

5. Can I save the entered information on the system and continue to fill in or change it later?

No. In order to ensure the efficiency of registration, the system has a 30-minute registration time limit, which will automatically log out after the timeout, and will not store the entered data. Please prepare the required information (including the ID number, date of birth and local mobile phone number of all registrants, and a local recipient address) before registration in order to complete the registration within the 30-minute time limit.

After registration, please remember to store or print the number on the registration summary. You must use the registration number to check the registration progress.

6. What if I don't have my local mobile phone number?

The phone number is used to receive related messages (including registration results and delivery notices). Please be sure to enter a local mobile phone number that can receive SMS messages.

If you do not have your own local mobile phone number, you can enter the phone number of the main registrant on the same registration, and they will receive the SMS for you, and then notify you of the relevant content. The primary registrant must have his own local mobile phone number.

7. Why won't infants and young children get a copper core anti-epidemic mask + ™?

It is not recommended to be worn by infants and children under three years of age due to the chance of posing a choking risk.

During the epidemic, the government recommended that all citizens (especially infants and children with weaker resistance) should reduce social contact and try to stay at home as much as possible to avoid crowded places.

We have also reserved a sufficient number of masks for students enrolled in kindergartens for the next school year, which will be distributed by the school they attend.

8. What should I do if I miss the online registration?

Citizens who have missed the online registration can choose to present their ID cards at the post office to collect the copper-core anti-epidemic mask + ™ in person after the one-month online registration period ends.

Waiting for registration

9. If I close the browser during the waiting period, do I need to queue again?

need. The registration system waits for entry on a first-come-first-served basis. If you close the browser halfway, you must re-queue, but you can minimize the browser window during the waiting period.

The registration system is open from May 6 to June 6 for a period of one month. If there are too many people waiting, you can also wait again at any time during the registration period.

Registration progress and results

10. When will I know the registration result? Can I track the registration progress?

Generally speaking, the government will send a short message to inform the registration result within a few days after registration:

If the registration is successful, the main registrant will receive an SMS. The main registrant must notify other registrants of the registration results.

If the registration is unsuccessful or partially successful, such as unqualified, wrong ID card information and repeated registration, etc., the main registrant and the unsuccessful additional registrant will receive the SMS.

You can also check the registration progress or result by the registration number.

11. I received an SMS notification that my registration contained the wrong ID number or date of birth. What should I do?

If the ID information provided by the main registrant is incorrect, the entire registration (including all additional registrants) will not be processed. Please re-register online and submit the correct information.

If only the ID information provided by some additional registrants is wrong, only the unsuccessful relevant additional registrants will be eliminated and they will have to register online again. Other successful registrants on the same registration will not be affected and there is no need to re-register.

12. I received an SMS notification stating that my registration was repeated and rejected my registration. What should I do?

Each eligible Hong Kong resident will receive only one copper-core anti-epidemic mask + ™, and will not accept multiple registrations by the same person.

Duplicate registration person will be removed from the registration, but it will not affect other successful registration persons in the same registration.

13. Can I change my personal information, address, add / delete registrant or cancel registration after submitting the registration?

No. Once the registration is submitted, all information cannot be changed or cancelled. Please check carefully before submitting. Incorrectly entered information will prevent the relevant registrant from obtaining the mask.

If you receive an SMS notification that registration is unsuccessful, you can re-register online. Please remember to submit the correct information, including the correct ID number and date of birth. In this case, re-registration will not be regarded as duplicate registration.

14. I lost my registration number, what should I do?

The main registrant must be sure to save or print the number on the registration summary to check the progress. The mobile phone message sent to the main registrant about the registration result and delivery notice will also contain the registration number. Based on information security, the registration number will not be reissued separately.
