This investigation was opened on April 24 following the complaint of "manslaughter", "endangering the life of others" and "failure to assist a person in danger" filed by the cousin of a resident of the Ehpad Villa Beausoleil, who died on March 25 at the age of 80, said the prosecution, confirming information of 20 minutes .

Before Nanterre, the prosecutor's office in Grasse had also opened a preliminary investigation, after receiving a salvo of complaints from families of residents who died at the La Riviera Mougins nursing home.

"It means that the prosecution, which has the opportunity to prosecute, considers that these complaints are anything but fanciful," welcomed Fabien Arakelian, lawyer for the family of the deceased and also for several families in France, including those of Mougins.

In her complaint, consulted by AFP, the cousin of the resident of Chaville is indignant at the lack of information on the state of health of his loved one. The relative also reports a “lack of barrier gestures”, “hygiene” and “sanitary measures” , before the confinement of residents began on March 17. She also protests the risk taken by organizing a lunch in a restaurant in Versailles, which her cousin attended in early March.

The management of the establishment and the group were not reachable on Monday evening. The investigation was entrusted to the police station of Sèvres.

The prosecution also received another complaint concerning the Koram nursing home in Clamart. It is currently under study and the public prosecutor's office does not exclude bringing them together.
