After the Corona break, the players of TSV Wolfratshausen conquer the Isar Loisach Stadium again. However, strict regulations apply to training operations.

Wolfratshausen– It's a good thing: Finally run on the tartan track again! The three young athletes of the TSV Wolfratshausen, who came back this week for the first time after a long ban on entry to the joint training session at the Isar Loisach Stadium, could see the fun. "I was looking forward to it," confirms Finn Toppe. "We all got a training plan, but at home it is monotonous in the long run." Trainer Toni Holzer (24) planned strength training for the 14-year-old hammer thrower at the post-Corona start. The topic of speed is for Quirin Brumberger ( 19, special discipline 800 meters) and Leonie Oswald (14, discipline still "variable, with a tendency to long jump" according to the trainer) on the two-hour program.

The preparation of the first training after the break was hardly more complex than usual, says the trainer. But the hygiene rules and protective measures are much more extensive. That becomes clear when you enter the stadium. On the way to the entrance, adhesive strips on the floor mark the minimum distance of 1.50 meters. "Otherwise, especially children cannot assess that at all," explains department head Alfred Barth. Every athlete who enters the stadium for training is recorded in a list. Then the hands are disinfected, only then is it down to the square and the garage in which the sports equipment is stored. After the last of the appointed training participants, the gate is locked again. Apart from the athletes, nobody is allowed on the course, says Barth. “It also educates a little bit about punctuality, cleanliness and order. This is now really popular again, ”beams the TSV head of athletics, who is gaining a positive educational effect from the catalog of measures for protection against infection with the corona virus.

Toni Holzer had already brought some of the training material out of the garage - "with disposable gloves", as he assures - and deposited it under a pavilion shortly before the training session due to the rain shower. Now every athlete is responsible for his or her device, which means: Every barbell, every medicine ball, every marker cone that you pick up in your hand, you must then disinfect yourself. The athletes themselves must also ensure that they do not get too close when running, jumping, hammer throwing, jumping up and long jumping.

But the protective measures are not a hurdle during training. "In terms of motivation, it makes a big difference whether we train alone or together," says Quirin Brumberger. “Sometimes it takes more effort to overcome alone. Here it is not negotiable with itself. "

Visibly pleased that a piece of normality is finally returning, Alfred Barth watches the young athletes for a while, while he is already rushing ahead in his thoughts. "It is now something of a preliminary, the first real function test is on Friday," announced the chairman of the wolves. Then, in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m., a long row of children lined up in front of the stadium gate at a distance of 1.50 meters.
