US billionaire and former Democratic nomination contestant Michael Bloomberg plans to spend more than $ 250 million (231 million euros) to support Joe Biden's candidacy for the White House, CNBC reported on Friday.

Joe Biden, the former vice-president of the United States, is almost guaranteed to be invested by the Democratic Party for the presidential election next November. Biden and Trump raised about $ 60 million each in April, but Trump and the Republicans have a notable financial advantage.
When questioned by Reuters, Joe Biden's campaign team declined to comment on the possible expense. Bloomberg did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment.
