In its data as of May 19 on the government site, the DGS indicates 10,308 deaths in the Ehpad, against 10,650 on Monday. When questioned, the DGS clarified that this new figure "results from adjustments in the reporting of data from the Regional Health Agencies".

The number of deaths in hospitals rose to 17,714, 125 more than Monday. There have already been several problems with the feedback of balance sheets in Ehpad since they were taken into account from the beginning of April.

The balance of intensive care patients continues to decrease

During a briefing a few minutes earlier, his first in about two weeks, the Director General of Health Jérôme Salomon, did not give, contrary to usual, the total number of deaths, contenting himself with that of hospitalizations, especially in intensive care, which continues to drop, to 1,894 serious patients (- 104 in 24 hours).
