Metz city center hit by two fires in a few hours

A major fire is underway in the city center of Metz. The fire broke out in the middle of the evening on Place Jeanne d'Arc, according to France Bleu Lorraine. Fire threatens Saint Ségolène church, according to a local elected official.

“A burning building threatens the Sainte Ségolène church in Metz. It was the second fire of the day in Metz. Another fire started earlier this Tuesday, also in the city center. An apartment building, located in Nexirue in the city center of Metz, caught fire at the end of the afternoon. Firefighters responded quickly and no one was injured, according to France Bleu Moselle. Two families have been relocated.
