The Buenosairean vice minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, assured this Thursday that it is necessary "to restrict the use of public transport to avoid community transmission" of the coronavirus  and considered that "from the health point of view" it is necessary "to go back with respect to the authorization of the non-essential trade " to avoid infection.

The official stated that the transfers generate greater possibilities of spreading the Covid-19 and explained that, therefore, " the use of public transport should be restricted to avoid community transmission," in statements to La Red radio .

"Until we manage to contain the foci and lower the cases , we must reduce the mobility that is not essential, which moves from one neighborhood to another, from the suburbs to the city, " said Kreplak, adding that they should be able to move "only people who work on essential tasks . "

In this sense, he acknowledged that "it would not be a good solution" to completely close the means of transportation "because essential workers -such as doctors- have to move," but asked to discourage "the flow of people who are activated by trade to avoid the risk of contagion . "

The Buenos Aires vice minister of Health estimated that " commerce stimulates the use of means of transportation , because society must move to buy or sell."

On the other hand, he pointed out that "in other countries of the world, when cases increase, the same point is reached (of backing down with the opening of quarantine ) but it can no longer be controlled."

"We have to reduce the circulation of people and this does not have to do with political colors but with taking care of people," he concluded.

Along the same lines, Governor Axel Kicillof had said on Wednesday after a meeting with Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Alberto Fernández that "when cases grow, more restrictive decisions are made."
