In the area of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib governorate, wheat harvest operations have been started in the fields of contracting with their owners to produce seeds for the next season.
The director of the General Organization for Seed Propagation Branch in Idlib, Eng. Abdul Aziz Bakdash, told SANA correspondent in Hama today that the area planted with wheat in the contracted fields of about 1,000 dunums will produce the seeds of both harsh and soft types, which will be distributed to the farmers during the next season.
He pointed out that the contracted peasants who will deliver the wheat crop to the branch will be granted a promotional price that exceeds the official price by at least 10 percent, indicating that the branch has formed several committees to supervise the harvest operations as appropriate.
