Amid simplified and accessible facilities and procedures, wheat farmers in Tartous Governorate continue to market their crops to the certified wheat reception center in the Annabiya region and the center of the Tartous Mill in Tartus.
Specific procedures are applied to regulate the role and facilitate the entrance of farmers to the Annabiya Center, explained by Engineer Mahmoud Shibli, head of the center, who said: “We receive farmers to register each of them on a previous role and the wheat is received at the main door according to the role given to the farmer, then the car is weighed on the basement and then goes to the experts to take Samples from them, then samples are collected in a secret room and secret numbers are also given. After that, the farmer goes to the accounting room to calculate the value of each supplied car and gives a special receipt for the amount and is transferred to the agricultural bank to receive it.
New facilities by the concerned authorities to receive wheat from farmers for the current season, reviewed by Eng. Hussam Suleiman, director of the branch of the Syrian Grain Foundation in Tartous, according to the instructions of the management of the institution, which includes receipt of the entire crop from farmers of various shapes Ducma and Mashoul and in any way the farmer can deliver wheat and completed with procedures from the province by request From all activities from the Police and Fuel Command and the Peasants Union to cooperate with the peasants, there are facilities for obtaining diesel for cars carrying wheat, and a great facility for combine harvesters and tractors to secure their access to reception centers with the lowest possible time in addition to the preferential price set by the government this year, which is 400 pounds per kilogram of wheat.
