The United States recorded 819 deaths from the emerging coronavirus within 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from the epidemic in this country to more than 111,150 deaths, according to a toll prepared by Johns Hopkins University.

According to Agence France-Presse, data published by the university showed that the pandemic (Covid 19) has claimed the lives of 111,751 people to date in the United States today, including 1,703,803 people, while about 518,000 people have recovered.

The daily death toll from the emerging coronavirus in the United States crossed the 500 threshold at the end of March and peaked in mid-April, when it exceeded 3,000 deaths a day.

Two weeks ago, this daily toll fell to below a thousand deaths, but the United States still records more than 20,000 new infections a day every day, and it finds it difficult to reduce this number.
