Daniel Berger wins the Charles Schwab Challenge, an American circuit recovery tournament held behind closed doors on the prestigious Colonial course in Fort Worth (Texas). The 27-year-old Floridian needed a playoff hole against his young compatriot Collin Morikawa to sign the third success of his career, the first since his finger injury contracted two years ago. Morikawa let the victory slip by missing a putt of one meter in the playoff, while he remained on a putt of two meters missed on his 72nd hole for the birdie of the win! After a ball in the water at 15 and a putt of one meter missed at 17, the leader after 54 holes Xander Shauffele is satisfied with third place with a stroke of the winner, alongside Justin Rose and the very massive Bryson DeChambeau (-14). World number one Rory McIlroy missed his Sunday and finished 32nd with Brooks Koepka. French number one Victor Perez did not pass the cut.
What a way for the tournament to end.
