An unusual incident occurred today (Tuesday) in Ashdod when a 5-month-old baby fell to the second floor of a residential building in the city, and was seriously injured. The baby apparently fell out of the apartment window and following the serious injury, she was evacuated to Assuta Hospital in the city. Israeli police officers are on the scene and have begun investigating the circumstances of the case, with a preliminary investigation showing that the girl was in the mother's hands, and now we will examine how and why she fell.

Magen David Adom's 101 hotline received a report of the incident around 6:00 PM, reporting a toddler who had fallen from a height. As a result, MDA medics and paramedics rushed to the scene of the incident and provided medical care to a five-month-old baby, and later, as mentioned, evacuated her to Assuta Hospital in critical condition, in a vague consciousness with multi-systemic trauma.

Emergency medicine paramedic Eliezer Stisel and MDA paramedic Yulia Pisarevsky, who was disabled at the scene, said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 5-month-old baby in the arms of a woman who ran to us. She was with severe multi-systemic injury, passers-by told us that the toddler fell from a height of about 6 meters. "We provided the baby with life-saving medical care that included bandages and medication and we quickly evacuated her to the hospital, where her condition is defined as difficult but stable."
