The emergence of 120 new outbreaks in 15 Spanish provinces keeps the country's health authorities on alert, although it is in the west of the autonomous region of Catalonia, in the province of Lleida, where the infections cause more alarm because many are asymptomatic. There, a legal obstacle prevented the authorities from imposing confinement, for which the regional government decided to approve an autonomous decree-law with which it seeks to modify the current Regional Public Health Law and transfer the powers, currently in the hands of the central government, the Catalan government to implement restrictive measures to control the outbreak in Lleida.
