The European Union reaches a landmark agreement to approve a $ 2 trillion aid fund to help mitigate the economies most affected by the pandemic. The fund will be distributed in two blocks: US $ 446,000 million in grants and US $ 412,000 million in loans. This will be the first time in the history of the EU that the European Union commission will go into debt in order to finance the programs. The debt is expected to be repaid until the end of 2058 and to obtain this aid, countries must present a recovery plan.
