A Roma camp which sheltered in the spring up to 200 people from Eastern Europe in a district to the west of Nice, was evacuated by the police on Wednesday 22 July, AFP learned from corroborating sources.

This slum, along Boulevard Luciano, near the A8, had been installed since August 2019 on land belonging to the municipality of Nice which had requested and obtained an eviction judgment in December, inapplicable during the winter and then until to July 10 due to the health crisis.
