Iranian Ministry of Health spokeswoman Sima Sadat Larry announced the registration of 169 deaths and 2,501 new infections with the emerging coronavirus during the past twenty-four hours.
Sadat Lari said in a statement today that the total deaths in the country have reached 19,331 cases, while the total number of injuries reached 338,825 cases, while the total cases of recovering from the virus reached 293,811 cases.
In India, the Kashmir authorities announced that “one out of every five inmates in the central prison in Srinagar, which is the largest prison in the region, is infected with the Coronavirus.”
Prison officials said that they were "preparing to transfer some prisoners after 102 out of 480 prisoners tested positive for the virus."
In the context, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Keela, announced the registration of 531 new cases of Coronavirus and one death during the past twenty-four hours.
