Today, the Lattakia branch of the General Organization for Road Transport completed the paving and maintenance of the Al-Mukhtariah link with a length of 2,300 meters and an asphalt width ranging from 6 to 7 meters in addition to maintenance work of multiple lengths on the axis of the Latakia-Al-Haffah road, especially for the broken sections, with the raising of the level of some turns to increase traffic safety.

The Director of the Foundation's branch, Eng. Muttea Salhab, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the link connects the Al-Mukhtariah knot on the Lattakia-Jericho highway and the Halo junction on the Lattakia-Al-Haffah Slanfeh road and reduces the traffic pressure passing through the towns of Al-Shir, Al-Khalala, Al-Shaltatia, Mangila and Dibba, which witness heavy traffic, thus achieving traffic safety for users of this The Road.

Engineer Salhab indicated that the link was sold to the central road network during the month of August of last year, as a result of which an estimate was prepared that included repairing and strengthening the ruined sites and treating them in an integrated manner and extending the two layers of the wear layer with a thickness of 12 cm after scraping the surface of the wear layer on the whole road and deporting the dust from Aspects.

He pointed out that the Foundation also carried out maintenance work on the main Latakia Al-Haffah road from the Ma'mal Al-opposite roundabout, as it is a tourist road that witnesses heavy traffic, as an estimated detection of all the damaged sites on the road was prepared and treated with raising the level of some bends and settling them accurately to ensure traffic safety.
