Eicherloh (lus) - The RGS Finsinger Moos indoor jumping tournament for youngsters turned out to be a great success last weekend: Over 300 young riders from Upper Bavaria proved themselves with a successful start to the season on the Laurent family's beautiful riding facility in Eicherloh.

For many young riders and horses, the tournament was a first major test in the 2004 season and therefore the eight different jumping competitions were very well received. With Johannes Grupen from Eicherloh, the RGS hired the ex-Upper Bavaria squad trainer for the junior eventing riders to set up a professional obstacle course for the youngsters as the course designer. Tournament director Hans-Joachim Wesenfeld was also very satisfied with this, especially as the Finsinger club members and Ingolstadt Service Grabmayer presented an optimally organized tournament.

The L / B jumping competitions with the highest endowment were dominated by external riders: The L / B jumping, which was divided into two sections, was dominated by the Bavarian eventing champion of the 2002 season, Simone Blum from LRFV Massenhausen, on Brando with a clear 44.72 seconds. The upper Bavarian jumping champion Martina Sailer (PF im Salzachtal) won the equivalent L-class with Fee with 48.30 seconds.

Almost all district aces started in Eicherloh and already showed a lot of skill. Above all, Timm Schnauder from RGS Finsinger Moos showed great talent. The young rider with the brilliant technique gained top placements in the E-jumping. On Saturday he won class A jumping on Stranger. Curiously, however, he was not crowned the winner, although he was clear and almost two seconds faster than the rest of the competition. The riding judges were not allowed to let him win because he had not yet passed the badge in his performance class and therefore did not meet the guidelines of the national riding association in Warendorf (FN).
