Authorities in France said today (Wednesday) that in the last day, 7,017 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country, which continues the increase from last weekend when about 13,000 new patients were diagnosed.

The number of patients is very alarming, as only yesterday only 4,982 patients were diagnosed.

The number of patients in the country continues to rise and now stands at 4,632.

However, it is still very far from the record recorded on April 14 when over 32,000 patients were hospitalized.

Meanwhile, in the last day, 25 more deaths were recorded, which raised the number of victims in the country to 30,686.

The second wave continues to hit Italy as well.

The country's health ministry said that in the last day the number of people infected was 1,326, compared to 978 registered on Tuesday.

Since the outbreak of the plague in Italy, 271,515 people have been diagnosed in Corona.

Also, 35,497 known deaths have been recorded so far, including six in the last day.

Meanwhile, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been diagnosed with corona virus - a statement from him said.

Berlusconi, 83, is staying in solitary confinement at his home near the city of Milan.

Health experts are urging Italy to step up testing and follow-up of new patients and with whom they came in contact even before schools open on 14 September.

In Spain, too, the numbers continue to rise, with 8,581 verified cases recorded in the last day, and 42 deaths from the virus.

The number of people infected in the country rose to 479,554, and 29,194 died.
