Coronavirus disease. Latest | 1.02 million people participated in national testing, nearly 680,000 samples have been tested

2020-09-06T13:27:13.080Z

The third wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong has dropped, but it is still in a low see-saw situation. The Department of Health announced today (6th) that 21 new confirmed cases have been confirmed, which is twice the number of yesterday’s 7 cases. The cumulative number of cases has increased to 4,879. Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, said that there were less than 10 preliminary confirmed cases in half a day. Among the new cases, 5 cases were discovered by the national inspection. Cases discovered by the national inspection, including a family of three, the victim was a 92-year-old man and an 89-year-old woman (#4873, #4867) living in Harbour View Peak, together with a domestic helper (#4872), September 2 Participated in the test at Guanyong Stadium and confirmed the infection. The foreign domestic helper had a sore throat on August 22. The couple involved had a cough about a week later. They had visited the clinic of Dr. Feng Jianhua on Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan for several days. The doctor and clinic staff were required to be quarantined. As there are prison outbreaks in foreign countries, I am worried that a person in custody may easily cause an outbreak. Now I am liaising with the Security Bureau to arrange for all over 7,000 inmates to be tested and looking for hidden patients.
