Many studies have shown that the risk of infection in enclosed spaces is particularly high compared to open areas, according to a report by the National Knowledge Center for the War in Corona of the IDF Intelligence Division.

According to the report, new studies have found that in cases of vocal activity or one involving increased respiratory rate, the chances of infection increase, depending on the physical characteristics of the enclosed space and the length of stay in it.

A report from the Intelligence Division also states that "on the eve of Tishrei, it is important to note that the risk of crowding and praying for a long time in a closed space such as synagogues, especially in red settlements, is likely to lead to widening and further mortality." H also apply to other enclosed spaces such as gyms.

The report recommends setting restrictions on stays in enclosed spaces according to the nature of the activity, including loud speech, singing, prayer and physical activity. Another recommendation is that the stay limit should take into account the size of the space and the number of occupants.

The report reiterates the requirement to restrict occupants in any space, ventilate the space and wear masks.

An important recommendation concerns the upcoming winter season.

In winter the population tends to be more crowded indoors and therefore the guidelines should be refined.

Against this background, the report recommends tightening enforcement of the guidelines in enclosed spaces. On the other hand, the report recommends holding weddings and events in general in the open air.
