Everything new at HSG Isar-Loisach: The women's team and the A-youth team have merged, two coaches are now taking care of the newly formed team, and the selection of players is unusually large. Everything new at HSG Isar-Loisach: The women's team and the A-youth team have merged, two coaches are now taking care of the newly formed team, and the selection of players is unusually large.

Coach Silvia Klein is accordingly optimistic about the regional league season, which starts on Saturday (3 p.m.) with the game at SC Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering: "In terms of strength, we can keep up very, very well."

During the summer break, those responsible at the HSG dealt with all sorts of mind games.

The big question was: How should things go on with the troubled women's team?

Would a syndicate with another club be the best?

Should the team be disbanded?

Or should the A-youth be deregistered from gaming?

After long discussions, the decision was made: The HSG's junior team is withdrawing from gaming and moving up to the senior level.

According to Klein, the only correct decision, since "as feared" there were only five A-youths left who regularly attend training: "We would never have been able to report a sufficiently large A-youth team in our life."

The majority of the players no longer belong to the age group around 30 years, but to the age group under 20 years.

Klein admits frankly that this is a huge change for her.

From her adult players she was used to the absolute silence when she gave instructions during training.

Now there is chatter and cackling in training.

“I still have to get used to the 17-year-old type,” says Klein.

“When I say something, five girls chatter.

If they don't know what to do then I'll get a fat throat.

When I then yell around, they say 'she doesn't like us'. ”In this respect, Klein is very grateful that the former A-youth coach Markus Goblirsch is now moving up with his team and supporting Klein.

Goblirsch can also get very loud, but the girls can cope better with that, says Klein: "Then it's quiet."

The cooperation between the two has not only proven itself in training, but also in the games: “It is difficult to give tactical instructions and at the same time to equip 14 people fairly.

It is almost impossible to do it alone. ”She feels that Goblirsch is relieving her of some of the tasks as a great relief:“ It's all much more relaxed and fair with two people.

Now it is a question of the players from different age groups growing together.

The potential is there, for example in the goal that Yvonne Goß and Felicitas Hörl guard.

"With the Yvi, it's a bite thing," says Klein.

“When she is fully committed, she holds almost everything.

But if the people in front of them give up, then she also falls asleep. ”In such cases it is good to have a strong second goalkeeper behind the scenes:“ Felicitas has done well and is getting stronger and stronger. ”There are also few problems with them Field players: “The youngsters who always come to training are very strong.” Due to their age, they still lack a little experience, and some players are still afraid in duels, “but they are not physically weaker than women”.

The fact that there are now 17 players available at the start of the season is “very good”.

During the season, the mother-to-be, Veronika Rid (formerly Hien) wants to return to the squad, as does Sarah Imreskovic, who for personal reasons was only able to train once this summer: “If she trains regularly again, she belongs Security back to the regular team, ”says Klein.
