Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to reduce the demonstrations, but it seems that the number of demonstrators against him and his government only increased when groups of demonstrators came out with signs over every bridge and under every fresh tree.

This time it is also difficult to label everyone as anarchists.

When you see families standing on the bridge - men, women and children - and protesting against the government, it is difficult to claim that these are the same anarchists from Balfour, but the spread of protest to all parts of the left in Israel.

But more than Netanyahu, the main problem of the growing protest is precisely that of Bnei Gantz.

This is his home crowd, or at least that was his in the last election.

A public he still sees as his main base, even though large parts of it have already been abandoned with his decision to enter government.

The vote of blue-and-white members in favor of the law to reduce the demonstrations was a significant turning point in the history of the party, with the assessment now being that Assaf Zamir's resignation is only the first swallow.

The chairs of other ministers began to sway, perhaps even of Ganz himself.

At the moment, it seems that the only thing holding Gantz within the coalition is the small chance that somehow the time will come for the rotation and the political situation will force Netanyahu to hand over power to him, in spite of everything.

So he continues to bite his lip.

Therefore, he will also have to agree to Netanyahu's demand to pass a law bypassing the High Court that will ensure Netanyahu's term as deputy prime minister. He is not thinking about Netanyahu, but about himself. This law is the only way to pave his way to the prime minister's office.

Ganz understands, later, the turmoil that has erupted inside his home Zamir's resignation and tried with all his might to minimize damage, divert the fire and crawl back to the angry political base.

The quick appointment of Orit Farkash as Zamir's successor, his and Gabi Ashkenazi's empathy for resignation and the ridiculous announcement of the "order" to the Minister of Justice to promote the appointment of a State Attorney, all intended to serve the same purpose, the success of which is highly questionable.

It seems that the government in its current form should have reached the end of its path a long time ago.

Blue and white have long been an opposition within the government and in this way it is impossible to function.

When the law was changed in accordance with the coalition agreements, there was a lot of talk about the constitutional change that followed, but no one then gave his opinion on the real problem that really arose with the formation of the government, with half of its ministers not actually subordinate to the prime minister.

In a reality where he cannot fire them, many have taken advantage of this to attack him publicly, violate coalition discipline and speak out freely against the government of which they are members.

In the current situation, an election campaign does not suddenly sound like the most delusional political scenario on the table.

When considering the alternatives, there does not seem to be a much more worthy alternative on the horizon than this.

A transitional government has already defeated the corona in the first wave, and it may be able to do so again in the second wave.

Meanwhile the small and troublesome virus, which has sent masses around the world to soul machines, is the only one that womenizes this government and prolongs its days.
