Within the framework of the resumption of classes, groups of teachers protested in different parts of Venezuela this Monday, to express their dissatisfaction with low salaries, internet failures, lack of resources and biosecurity measures.

In at least two of the places where the teachers had convened to protest, Plaza Morelos and Plaza Caracas, groups of followers of the questioned President Nicolás Maduro and the so-called collectives or armed groups that support him had previously gathered, according to CNN.

Given this, the protesters said they decided to meet in another sector near the area to avoid clashes.

From the makeshift place they warned that it is not possible to live with the equivalent of one dollar a month that they currently earn.

They denounced that the collapse of their salary as workers also affects the right to education.

The President of the National Assembly and recognized as president in charge of at least 55 countries, Juan Guaidó, had called to support the protest.

Guaidó was present at the end of it.

The opposition leader highlighted the struggle of teachers and said that all Venezuelans deserve a fairer salary.
