Attempted murder in Kiryat Ata: A 30-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded

The resuscitation operations are being carried out on a resident of Tirat Carmel who was shot on Zevulun Street in the Krayot, apparently from a passing vehicle that fled the scene.

MDA teams evacuated him to Rambam Hospital.

Police have opened an investigation and are conducting searches for the shooter.

A 30-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel was shot last night (Sunday) and fatally injured on Zevulun Street in Kiryat Ata, apparently from a passing vehicle that fled the scene.

MDA teams that arrived at the scene evacuated the wounded to Rambam Hospital, while performing resuscitation operations there.

Police have launched an investigation and collection of findings and are conducting searches for the shooter.

Background and circumstances under investigation.

MDA paramedic Elhanan Danino said, "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 30-year-old man unconscious with injuries to his body in a vehicle that was impassable.

"We put him in an intensive care unit headed by the paramedic, Shmuel Dror, and evacuated him to the hospital during resuscitation operations when his condition was critical."

The shooting scene in Kiryat Ata, tonight

Last week, 58-year-old Umia Titi, a resident of the Ba'ana local council near Karmiel, was shot dead.

She was brought to Galil Medical Center in Nahariya, with gunshot wounds and in a critical condition.

Her death was determined later that night at the hospital, following resuscitation efforts.

Her 62-year-old husband was also lightly wounded in the shooting, and was released during the night.

In addition to them, another man, a 37-year-old resident of Deir al-Assad, was taken to the hospital in fair condition with gunshot wounds to his legs.

Police are examining the hypothesis that this is a conflict between criminals that ended in the woman's death.

At this point the investigation was assigned to the central unit which is in the arena and continuing to gather the evidence.
