The reality of the child's culture and literature in Syria, and the periodicals and newspapers that were issued to support his national upbringing. The topics dealt with the literary meeting held by the Damascus branch of the Arab Writers Union with the participation of a number of children's writers and illustrators.
In her vision on children's literature, Omaima Ibrahim saw that the current reality has an impact on children's literature in addition to the problems it suffers from due to the circumstances resulting from the war, pointing to the ability of children's writers and artists in Syria to present important literary and artistic creations in this field.
As for the editor-in-chief of Shama Magazine, Areej Bouadaghi, she called for educating the child's writers and illustrators and learning about the experiences of others because of their role in refining their talents and forming new artistic visions, pointing to the importance of forming the child on the creative values and foundations associated with drawing.
The painter, Doha Al-Khatib, indicated that she works in the field of collage using special tools that present to the child beautiful colors and themes that refer to texts that accompany them in the meaning, considering that this type of literature is important for children because it combines more than one artistic genre.
Whereas, the artist and writer Ramez Hajj Hussein expressed the importance of animation that is based on creativity and that is based on Syrian fundamentals presented by real people who are related to reality and present a culture of adopting children on a correct basis, considering that there are writers who presented successful literature that positively affected the memory and awareness of children.
The dialogue included various interventions by Dr. Ibrahim Saeed, the storyteller Umayya Al-Obaid, the writer Sobhi Saeed, and the journalist Faten Daaboul, who enriched the seminar with topics that called for preserving the child's awareness of the electronic cultural invasion.
