The difficult adaptation of Muslim schools to state rules

2020-10-12T19:00:57.857Z

DECRYPTION - The State wants to be able to proceed with administrative closures of schools without contract while avoiding lengthy legal proceedings.

The private Muslim establishments are in the sights of the executive.

In his October 2 speech at Mureaux (Yvelines), President Macron pointed to

“Islamist separatism”, “a conscious, theorized, politico-religious project”.

Among other measures, he announced that schools outside the contract (not subsidized by the State and not linked to it by a contract)

"will be subject to even stronger supervision".

“We wake up when the scandal happens, which is the worst thing,”

he explained.

It is in particular a question of

"being able to carry out administrative closures when they are necessary".

And to avoid legal proceedings which, from appeals to appeals, allow establishments outside the contract to remain open.
