The Ministry of Health announced today (Tuesday) that a joint audit with the veterinary service at the "Jango" restaurant in Rishon Lezion, which is backed by a number of well-known partners from the Israeli culinary world, including chef Tom Aviv, found sanitary deficiencies and expired chicken and beef products.
The statement also said that tens of kilograms of the same inappropriate meat had been destroyed
According to the Ministry of Health, the products found are not fit for human consumption and in addition were stored in inappropriate conditions, but the restaurant is furious, strongly denies of course, and mostly does not understand why such a message is needed in such an economically sensitive situation in Israel.
"We do not understand what the Ministry of Health wants from us," said one of my owners at the restaurant.
"The meat in question that was 'caught' are some frozen sausages that came to us for inspection and experience, and were forgotten in the freezer because of the closure. The worker just took the meat and threw it in the trash, that's the whole story."
