The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Sima Sadat Lari, announced that 4,830 new infections and 279 deaths from the Coronavirus were recorded in the country during the past twenty-four hours.
Larry said in a statement today: "The number of Corona infections in the country increased to 513219, deaths to 29,349 and 414,831 people recovered."
In turn, Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki said: The concerned authorities were informed of the prevention of entry and exit from five major cities in the country during the weekend, after the escalation of Coronavirus infections.
Namaki said in a statement today that Corona “has undergone changes and booms and has gained more speed by spreading and infecting more people,” noting that the five cities from which entry and exit were prevented to limit the spread of the virus are Tehran, Karaj, Mashhad, Isfahan and Urmia.
