The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayed Ali Khamenei, affirmed that Tehran's policy towards the United States will not change regardless of who wins the American elections today.

Khamenei said in a speech during an event marking the Prophet’s birthday that “the moral decline in the American political system is evident by the recognition of the Americans themselves, and we, on our part, do not concern us with changing names in the presidential elections, but what concerns us is politics.”

Khamenei added that the American arrogant regime is a corrupt terrorist regime that aims to control all the capabilities of the people, and Americans wherever they go sow crises and strife, noting that examples of this are what is happening in Yemen and Iraq.

Khamenei added that the American administrations are responsible for planting terrorism in the region, so that their affiliates provide funds and military and material support to terrorists.

He explained that the American hostility to Iran is due to its lack of acquiescence to the American policies in the region, especially towards Palestine, stressing that his country must possess the necessary military equipment to maintain its security and protect it from the ambitions of the enemies.

Khamenei pointed out that there are regimes in the West that claim to care for humanity at a time when their practices are characterized by brutality towards the civilizations of others, stressing that Western officials' support for the cartoons offensive to the Noble Prophet is a crime that is no different from supporting brutal and terrorist regimes.
