Former Argentine soccer player Diego Armando Maradona is hospitalized in a clinic in the city of La Plata, about 60 kilometers from Buenos Aires.
This was confirmed at a press conference this afternoon by his personal doctor Leopoldo Luque.
Luque ruled out that Maradona, who is currently the technical director of Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, suffers from coronavirus or a respiratory problem and clarified that he accepted to be admitted for a general check-up.
The doctor also assured that the former player will spend Monday night at the Ipensa private clinic.
