US President Donald Trump spoke in the White House about the current US presidential election and reiterated fears of election manipulation.

Many people voted for him tonight, he told followers.

"A very sad group of people are trying to disenfranchise this group of people," he added.

"We're getting ready for a big celebration," said Trump.

It is clear that he won Georgia.

He'll win Pennsylvania by a large margin.

He will also win clearly in Michigan.

He has already won Texas.

"Frankly, we won this election," said Trump.

Trump believes Democrats could "steal the election"

Before his speech, Trump had already claimed a strong result on Twitter.

"But they are trying to STEAL the election," wrote Trump.

"We'll never let them do that."

Trump was obviously directed against the Democrats of his challenger Joe Biden.

Before the election, Trump spoke several times about possible election manipulation, for which he has no evidence.

Trump wrongly questioned the security of postal voting.

Democrats in particular are likely to have voted in this way this year - also because of the corona pandemic.

The counting of these votes is likely to take longer in some countries.

Biden also confident of victory

Trump's opponent Joe Biden had also shown himself confident of victory in an address to his supporters.

He believes he could win the important state of Pennsylvania.

He still has chances in Georgia.

In fact, it will take a while to determine who will be the next President of the United States.

The race to move into the White House is tight.
