The social network Twitter censored this morning (Wednesday) a tweet from US President Donald Trump.

The president tweeted that "we are leading big, but they are trying to steal the election. They can never do that. You can not vote after the polls close."

Twitter marked the president's tweet, hid it from users and wrote that "the content may be inaccurate in the context of the election results."

This is one of the steps Twitter has announced it will take in the event of an attempt to disseminate incorrect or biased information in the context of the election.

The social network said that the day after the election, the candidates will not be allowed to claim that they won the election before there is a declared and official result.

Twitter also said candidates would not be able to tweet or reproduce content that encourages interference in the election process.

The social network said that if such a tweet is published, a link will be added with up-to-date and accurate information about the election situation.

That is, Twitter does not remove the tweets or hide them from the feed, but it does tag those posts.
