The US presidential election has already been decided, apparently, and it seems that the next president of the world's great power will be Joe Biden.
Beyond all the essential issues related to the election, the president's inauguration and everything that revolves around the election issue, there is another issue, no less interesting, that intrigues many Americans - the pets of the incoming president.
Presidential dogs have always been the subject of no less interesting coverage than the president and his family, with the exception of incumbent President Donald Trump, who has been the only one in the last century without a pet in the White House.
With Biden and his wife, two dogs will enter the White House, Major and Champ, a pair of German Shepherd dogs, Biden's favorite breed since he was young.

By the way, this time it's not just the return of the pets to the White House, but a real story, because Major, one of the incoming president's dogs, was adopted by the Biden couple two years ago from a dog rescue shelter in the city of Delaware where they live.
In doing so, he became the first adopted dog to enter the White House, which could certainly help animal organizations fighting the popularity of adopted dogs over purebred and "purchased" ones.
The pair of German shepherds went viral even before the current election campaign, as whenever a famous politician adopts an animal, but now, with their imminent entry into the White House this coming January, their photos are likely to be circulated across the lawn and the two will become real stars.
