Iranian First Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri confirmed that the resistance strategy pursued by his country defeated the US policy of economic pressure.
"The Iranian people, who in recent years managed to withstand American economic pressures, missed their enemies the opportunity to harm the country and its security," Jahangiri said during his meeting today with members of the Association of Islamic Iranian Peoples' Union.
Jahangiri pointed out that the hostility of the United States against Iran, with the testimony of the Americans themselves, reached the point of the economic war against the Iranian people, reaching their goal of overthrowing the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the collapse of the country's economy.
In this context, he considered that the defeat of US President Donald Trump in the elections and the victory of his opponent, John Biden, does not mean changing the broad policies of the United States towards Iran.
