President-elect Joe Biden tonight (Monday) held a special press conference regarding the spread of corona in the country during which he addressed the announcement by the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer that its clinical experience is 90 percent effective.

"The vaccine approval needs to be science-based so the public can be sure of its effectiveness and safety," Biden said, adding that "we are still facing a severe winter and it will take time for the vaccine to be available to the general population."

The president-elect went on to say: "I ask all of you - wear a mask. Do it for yourself and your environment. This is not a political statement."

He also announced that after being sworn in, he would do everything in his power to eradicate the plague and reduce the number of people infected and the number of victims in the country.

Meanwhile, today on the establishment of the new administration's assistance committee to combat the spread of the corona virus, which aims to help shape the approach to the war on the virus thus reported in the country.

This is Biden's first step since he was announced president-elect over the past weekend.

The committee will be chaired by Dr. David Kessler, who served as head of the FDA under George W. According to the plan, the committee is expected to submit to Baidan a 7-step plan to eradicate the epidemic that will include, among other things, increasing the quantities of tests, securing assembly networks of personal protective equipment and investing in funding vaccines.
