It is too early to draw conclusions about the place of social networks during the American presidential election which has just been held.
During the 2016 election, it took several weeks for accusations of manipulation of the ballot to emerge via networks, and long months of investigation to shed light on it.
During the week, and especially during the count, Facebook and Twitter kept their promises.
They labeled certain messages from President Donald Trump as “disputed” or “likely to be misleading”, as soon as they questioned the sincerity of the ballot.
Political ads were also banned.
