Italy recorded 37,978 cases and 636 new deaths from the new Corona virus during the past 24 hours, in the second wave of the virus’s spread.
The Italian Ministry of Health stated in its latest data today that the total number of recorded infections with the virus in the country reached one million and 66,401 cases, and deaths reached 43,589 cases.
For weeks, Italy has been facing unprecedented increases in daily infections with the Coronavirus, although the death index did not reach its levels during the peak period when this number exceeded the level of 900 cases per day.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte imposed new restrictions while allowing mayors to impose a night curfew in their areas, with the closure of theaters, cinemas, sports and markets, and the limitation of restaurant hours due to the spread of the virus.
