Joe Biden has defeated US President Donald Trump in Georgia, while the latter has won in North Carolina, US media reported.
These were the last two states in which the media networks in the United States announced the end of the vote counts in them.
Thus, the distribution of electors ended with Baiden having 306 electors and Trump with only 232 - less than 270 needed to win the election.
Although the general vote in the country does not determine the identity of the winner according to the election method in the United States, Biden leads Trump with more than 5.3 million votes.
The Republican president has claimed since the polls closed without evidence that he was deceived by the Democrats, and refused to recognize the results.

The Trump campaign has filed lawsuits in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania over allegations of electoral fraud and voting irregularities, repeatedly claiming on Twitter that he won the election and that a concerted effort was made by Democrats to steal the election from him.
So far, the country's election officials, local observers and courts have all rejected his claims of election theft.
