Two male police officers were arrested on suspicion of rape earlier.
According to the police, one of the 22-year-old male police officers has been temporarily charged with one count of "rape" and the case will appear in the Kowloon City Magistracy on the morning of November 19.
Another 22-year-old male police officer has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in mid-December.
It is understood that the first two male police officers went to a bar for entertainment. They met two women and they all had fun and drink together. One of the women later left, leaving two men and one woman alone.
The woman was suspiciously drunk. The two male police officers and the woman went to a clock hotel in West Kowloon. After that, the two male police officers took turns to go to the room.
After the incident, the woman reported that she was raped by two men. After investigation by the police, the two male police officers were arrested on suspicion of "rape."
The two male police officers are both 22 years old. It is reported that they are criminal detectives stationed in the New Territories North Region Tactical Unit and the Organized Crime and Triad Investigation Division respectively. The victim is a 20-year-old woman.
The case was handed over to the Criminal Division of West Kowloon Region for follow-up.
The police confirmed that the two arrested persons were off-duty police officers and will be suspended from their duties, emphasizing that the police attaches great importance to the conduct of personnel and that any personnel who commit illegal acts must be dealt with strictly.
