The investigation by the Prostitution Repression Squad (BRP) - containing numerous wiretaps - implicated fifteen defendants.
The main appearances for "aggravated procuring, trafficking in human beings and criminal association", on facts committed between 2015 and 2018.
The prostitutes were all from their native country, Bulgaria, and worked in "assigned places" at various points in Ile-de-France: at the gates of Paris, in the woods, along the N6 between Créteil (Val- de-Marne) and Brunoy (Essonne), etc.
Fifteen victims have been identified.

Some had already prostituted themselves before arriving in France.
The investigation was able to begin thanks to the courage of one of them who, on November 24, 2015, managed to escape the clutches of her pimp with whom she was living in cohabitation in Créteil.
Coming from a very poor family, she had met him a few months earlier in her country, when she was selling corn in a market.
As soon as he came to France, his companion, Raycho, gave him the real reason for their trip before being violent.

Seven days a week, she then began to prostitute herself in the Sénart forest, straddling Seine-et-Marne and Essonne.
His income, which could climb to € 500 per day, went entirely into the pocket of the pimp.
"If I only reached 200 euros, he hit me, screamed or let me sleep outside," she told investigators.
That day, when she has just arrived at the police station, Raycho tries to reach her 66 times.
