Alexander S. (82) from Hausham is looking for a woman through an advertisement.

A picture from 1959 is supposed to help.

The ad is unusual - and puzzling.

A photo from 1959 of a little boy in a woman's arms.

“Who knows this woman?” Is written next to it, plus a telephone number.

The advertisement appeared in the "Please report" section in our newspaper.

What's behind it?

The ad was placed by Alexander S. from Hausham (Miesbach district).

The 82-year-old looks back on an eventful life.

He grew up in Holzkirchen, began an apprenticeship in the mine at the age of 14, later he worked in a special civil engineering company and was involved in the underground construction in Munich, among other things.

S. is a hobby author and has already published a book.

Now a second is to follow.

“Three times seven years,” he wants to call it.

And it should be about his childhood in Holzkirchen - from birth to the age of 21.

And this is where the ad comes in.

Because Alexander S. wants to use the picture in the book.

And correctly as he is, he looks for the woman to ask her permission for it.

“Her name was Fanny Leitner,” says the pensioner, but he cannot say more about her current residence.

What role is she supposed to play in the book?

“A chapter,” says S., but that too remains a secret for the time being, he says.

The ad has appeared before.

And promptly a call came from a woman.

It wasn't Fanny - but someone Fanny knew.

“She knew a lot,” he recalls.

Fanny was first in Schongauer Land, then in Munich.

Maybe under a different name.

He didn't find out more.

Because at that moment his cell phone fell from his hand with excitement.

There was the old Nokia, the battery next to it.

And the conversation ended before S. could ask the woman for her number - or for more information about Fanny.

But the pensioner has already found a solution to this problem.

He just posted another ad.

Now he's looking for Fanny - and the informant.
