The United States recorded about 220,000 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
According to the Johns Hopkins University census, the number of new deaths due to the virus in the country has reached about 2,500.
This brings the total number of infections in the United States to more than 15 million since the start of the pandemic, while the number of deaths is more than 286,000.
In the Arab world, the Ministry of Health in Morocco announced the registration of 2,900 new cases of Coronavirus, 3,450 recoveries, and 50 deaths.
In the daily bulletin of the results of the epidemiological monitoring of Covid 19, the Ministry stated that the new outcome raised the total number of confirmed cases to 384 thousand and 88 cases since the announcement of the first case on the 2nd of last March, while the total number of complete recoveries rose to 337 thousand and 719 cases and the number of deaths to 6370.
In Algeria, the Ministry of Health recorded 591 new cases of Coronavirus and 12 deaths, while 498 patients were cured, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 89,416 and the total of deaths 2539.
In a related context, a report issued by the US Food and Drug Administration stated that six people have died during trials of a Corona virus vaccine developed by the American drug giant Pfizer and the German company Biontech.
In the details, four of the six deceased received a placebo drug and two were vaccinated with the real drug. One of the participants in the vaccine tests was declared obese and atherosclerosis and died three days after taking the first dose of the drug.
The deceased second volunteer had a heart attack 60 days after the second dose.
Among the participants who received the placebo vaccine, two died from a heart attack and stroke, while the cause of death for two others is being determined.
In total, about 38,000 people over the age of 16 participated in these tests.
The US Food and Drug Administration had previously confirmed the effectiveness of the Pfizer and Biontech vaccine.
In addition, the UAE announced today that it has officially registered the Chinese (Sinopharm) vaccine against the emerging corona virus, confirming that the initial results showed its effectiveness of 86 percent.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement that it had reviewed the preliminary results of the third phase experiments conducted by (Synopharma CNBG), as these results showed high efficacy.
According to the statement, the seroconversion rate recorded 99 percent of the equivalent antibodies and 100 percent as a protection rate against moderate or severe cases of the disease.
Last September, the UAE authorized the emergency use of the vaccine for use by health workers.
The UAE has so far recorded more than 178,000 new cases of Coronavirus and 596 deaths.
