British experts called for the imposition of third-level restrictions in an attempt to stop the spread of the Corona virus in the British capital and warned of a third wave of the pandemic that may have originated in London.

The British newspaper The Independent reported that experts warned that London would become a hotbed of the spread of the virus during the Christmas holidays, in parallel with the high incidence and deaths, stressing the need to impose the third level of restrictions.

The newspaper quoted the former Regional Director of Public Health in northwest Britain, Professor John Ashton, as saying: "The capital's residents may end up turning into a dangerous and excessive spread of the virus during the Christmas holidays and causing a third wave of infections as happened last February."

In turn, the former Regional Director of Public Health in the Southeast, Dr. Mike Gill, indicated that steps must be taken now to reduce contact, which the third level restrictions will do significantly.

Britain has recorded the largest number of virus deaths in Europe and is the first country to authorize the use of the American-German (Pfizer Bionic) vaccine, in a move that many experts considered hasty and not based on necessary experiments and tests.

Last February, the United Kingdom crossed the threshold of 30,000 deaths caused by the Corona virus, becoming at that time the first country most affected in Europe and the second in the world after the United States.
