The social worker Xu Liming was suspected of assaulting the police during the Admiralty demonstration on September 29 last year. However, the prosecutor suddenly changed the prosecution before the trial started. Today (10th), the police were summoned to testify at the West Kowloon Court. He said Xu ignored the warning and pushed his chest and then his abdomen, causing him to fall twice.

The defense played a video clip, alleging that the defendant was standing in the recess between the two positions. In the chaos, he leaned forward and hit the policeman. The policeman agreed that the incident "has a chance of being an accident" and denied that "interruption." "Water" pretended to fall.

The female defendant Xu Liming (50 years old) is a registered social worker. She was originally charged with assaulting a police officer who performed duties according to law.

The prosecution's application for changing the charge and obstructing office work was approved. Xu Xian was charged with deliberately obstructing the police officer Zhuang Luang who was legitimately performing his duties on September 29 last year on the carriageway of Queensway near Lok Lai Street in Admiralty.

Set up a collection point for prisoners to block or snatch offenders

Alleging that the defendant was emotional

Zhuang said that at about 5:30, he saw his colleague instruct the defendant to return to the pavement on the tramway outside Pacific Place. The defendant was very excited and continued to walk towards the subdued suspect.

When he saw the situation, he stepped forward to help, opened his hands and tried to intercept the defendant, while the other party excitedly said, "You don't want to hit the kids!" Zhuang said that he did not see the defendant's situation. After warning the defendant again, the other party suddenly turned to collect the prisoner. Go everywhere.

Zhuang Xu said that when the defendant walked to Shibengsha, he said, "Don't stop me," and pushed his chest with his left hand, causing him to fall.

Zhuang also described that after he got up, he saw the defendant raised his hands and yelled, "What?" He immediately put away his raised left hand, and moved him to his abdomen, causing him to fall back again.

The defense alleged that the defendant was surrounded by police

The defendant's senior lawyer Pan Xi broadcasted a video of the incident. It can be seen that the defendant was surrounded by police officers at Shibeng's position. When she raised her hands and fell to the left, her left hand touched Zhuang's chest, and Zhuang fell to the ground; then the defendant tried to continue lifting. But the left hand was pulled down by another police officer, so that it touched Zhuang’s lower abdomen and Zhuang fell on the ground again.

The defense stated that the defendant was standing in the recess between the two positions. The center of gravity was unstable and leaned forward in the chaos, and then hit Zhuang.

Zhuang said that he was not sure of the defendant's intentions and agreed that the incident "has a chance to be an accident."

However, he also pointed out that if the defendant stumbled, she should have fallen to the ground at the same time, but she did not fall to the ground; the defense pointed out that there were clips showing the defendant being supported by the police.

The defense described Zhuang's second fall as a "sudden" fall. Zhuang agreed, but denied that it was a "sudden fall".

The defense again pointed out that the video did not see the defendant saying "I don't want to hit the kids" excitedly, nor did he see Zhuang spreading his hands to block him, questioning Zhuang's inaccurate memory.

Zhuang responded to the defendant "I said it in an instant," but when he was asked whether he was 100% sure and his memory was correct, he replied, "I'm not sure."

Will not regard social workers as demonstrators

Zhuang admitted that he did not suspect that the defendant wanted to rob the offender, but suspected that she would obstruct justice.

He explained that if the defendant is approaching a subdued suspect, after learning the name of the other party, he may find his address and come to "help the prisoner pick up the stolen goods."

He stated that he would not regard social workers as demonstrators and would not arrest social workers, but he did not intend that the defendant’s shirt was printed with the words "social worker" and the defendant did not indicate his identity. He only found out that the other party was a social worker after reading the newspaper.

The trial continued.
